APPLE CRISP II 
5 tart apples
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. flour
1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. nuts or raisins
1/4 tsp. salt
Vanilla ice cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9 or 10 inch square baking dish. Peel and core apples and slice thinly. Combine apples, lemon juice and sugar. Mix and set aside.

In another bowl mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut the butter into small pieces and add to flour mixture. Mix together and crumble with fingers. Chop nuts and mix into flour mixture. Spread apple slices in coated pan. Sprinkle flour mixture on top evenly. Bake 45 minutes until light brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
