DIP DOGS | |
1 lb. wieners 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal 1/2 c. self-rising flour 1 tbsp. sugar 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/4 c. milk Put hot dogs in boiling water, and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and wipe dry. The hot dogs must stand in the water to get rid of the grease. Mix dry ingredients in a shallow bowl, and then add the eggs and milk. Mix well with a fork. Heat cooking oil to deep fry (about 360°F). Coat each hot dog with the batter and fry until brown on all edges. The batter will cling well to the hot dogs. |
