SOUR CREAM DATE PIE 
1 c. sour cream
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 c. finely chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/4 tsp. salt
9 inch unbaked pie shell

Combine filling ingredients; mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake in 425 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 325 degrees; bake about 30 minutes, until filling is set and crust lightly browned. Makes 8 servings.

NOTE: This is extremely sweet. Serve icy cold, with ice or whipped cream, to take the curse off. Nutrition: 349 calories.
