QUICK SAUERBRATEN 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. grated carrots
2 tsp. minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) condensed beef bouillon
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
8 finely chopped gingersnaps
Hot buttered noodles

Cook noodles while shaping and cooking patties. Mix together the first 5 ingredients and shape into 4 patties. Brown well on both sides in shortening. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer until sauce is slightly thickened about 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with the hot buttered noodles.
