SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 c. sour cream
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift dry ingredients 3 times and add alternately with sour cream to first mixture, beating until smooth. Add vanilla. Pour into 9" tube pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done. Let stand 5 minutes before removing from pan. Cool and frost. Top with Sour Cream Frosting if desired.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter, melted
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and milk. Beat until smooth.
