EASY TOMATO MINESTRONE 
3 slices bacon, diced
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lg. garlic cloves, pressed
3 1/2 c. water
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth, undiluted
1 (15 oz.) can Great Northern beans, undrained
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1 tbsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
1 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. dry pasta shells or small macaroni
16 oz. pkg. frozen mixed Italian vegetables
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

In a large saucepan, saute bacon, onion, and garlic until onion is translucent. Stir in water, broth, beans, and liquid, tomato paste, parsley, oregano, bail, pepper and paste. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, simmer 15 minutes. Mix in vegetables; cook additional 10 minutes. Serve with cheese.
