MINT WAFERS 
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. milk
1 (15.4 oz.) pkg. creamy white frosting mix
6-8 drops oil of peppermint
1 or 2 drops food coloring (red or green)

Melt butter with milk in top of double boiler placed over boiling water (upper pan should not touch water). Add frosting mix; stir until smooth. Cook and stir over rapidly boiling water for 5 minutes or until smooth and glossy. Add flavoring and desired food coloring. Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper; swirling top of candies with teaspoon. (If mixture thickens, add a few drops of warmed milk.) Cool candy until firm. Makes about 3 1/2 to 4 dozen.
