GOLDEN CUPCAKES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

In bowl cream together sugar, shortening, and vanilla until light. Add egg yolks and beat well. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Fill muffin pans half full. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Yields 18 cupcakes.
