1/3 c. sugar
5 c. flour
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. oil
2 pkgs. yeast
1/4 c. hot water
1 tsp. baking soda

Sift sugar, flour and soda together. Dissolve yeast in water. Make well in flour. Pour in buttermilk, oil and yeast. Mix together. Pour onto floured board. Knead until smooth. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter or glass. Place on well greased cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven until golden brown on top. Remove and brush with butter. Serve hot.
