QUICK COFFEE CAKE 
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup milk

Topping:

4 tbsp. floured
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Sift the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar together. With pastry blender, cut in the shortening. Add the egg and the milk and stir only until all the flour is dampened. Spread the dough in a greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Mix the topping ingredients together and sprinkle over the dough.

Bake about 30 minutes.
