HAM SOUP 
2 c. water
2 c. diced potatoes
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/4 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 c. cubed ham

Bring water to boil in saucepan. Add potatoes, carrots, onions, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. In another saucepan, melt butter and then add flour. Mix until flour dissolves. Continue stirring and add milk. When sauce starts to thicken, add cheese gradually. Put ham and undrained vegetables into white sauce.
