SUPER BRAN MUFFINS 
3 c. bran (Nabisco)
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs, beaten
3 c. buttermilk
1 c. Mazola oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. banana, mashed
1 c. raisins
1 c. dates, cut

Cover raisins and dates with water and bring to a boil. Then cool and drain.

Combine all dry ingredients and mix. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla and banana. Add dates and raisins last. Combine well. It will be quite liquid. Use paper liners in muffin tins or non-stick muffin tins. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
