CARRY-OUT CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
5 c. popped corn
1 1/2 c. thin pretzel sticks
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. peanuts

Put syrup, sugar, salt and water in the pan and boil until a half spoonful of the mixture will form a soft ball when dropped in water. Remove the pan from the heat, and stir in the butter and vanilla. Mix the popcorn, peanuts and pretzel sticks in a large bowl. Pour the syrup over the mixture and stir with the wooden spoon until each piece is well coated.

Spread the pieces on waxed paper to dry. Roll up construction paper cones and tape them together. Fill the cones with caramel corn and you've made a great treat for a backyard party.
