ALMOND ICEBOX COOKIES | |
1 lb. butter (melted) 1 tbsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. baking soda 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 3 eggs (beaten well) 5 c. flour 1/2 c. sliced almonds Stir butter and sugar well. Add eggs, 1/2 cup almonds, flour, soda and cinnamon; mix. Roll into 5 rolls 2 inches in diameter. Put in refrigerator overnight. Cut in thin slices. Bake at 350 degrees until crisp. Butter cookie sheets. NOTE: I tear off 5 pieces of wax paper, put flour on my hands to get the cookie dough out of the bowl and to roll them into 5 separate rolls. |
