AUNT SALLY'S ICEBOX COOKIES | |
Sally McAnally who made these cookies a regular part of Poetry Baptist Church's Sunday School for over 20 years. 2 3/4 c. flour 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 sticks butter 1 tsp. (heaping) baking powder 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 2 lg. eggs 3/4 c. pecans, chopped Let butter soften, cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time. Mix well. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together; mix with creamed mixture. Add pecans. Put mixture in refrigerator at least 3 hours. Then make in rolls, wrap in wax paper, put in freezer. Slice and bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. |
