AUNT SALLY COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. lard or shortening
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. cream of tartar
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 c. flour

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vinegar
2 egg whites, well beaten
12 marshmallows, cut up

Mix cookie ingredients together well. Chill for 1 hour. Roll out of floured board (not too thin). Cut with empty Spam can. Bake at 350 degrees until done.

Frosting: Boil sugar, water and vinegar to medium ball stage. Pour over stiffly beaten egg whites. Add marshmallows. Mix well.

Frost cookies - let dry before storing.
