FRUIT SOUP 
1 lb. dried fruit; prunes, peaches, apples, pears, apricots
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 lb. dried cherries
1/2 c. tapioca
1 c. sugar or honey
2 qts. water
1 stick cinnamon
1 lemon, sliced
1 orange, sliced

Soak dried fruits and tapioca overnight in water. Next day add remaining ingredients. Simmer until flavors blend, tapioca is clear, and soup is slightly thickened, about 1 hour. Remove cinnamon stick before serving. Serve warm or chilled. 14-18 servings.
