3 c. cooked mashed turnips
3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp. melted butter

Beat together the turnips, butter, sugar, salt, pepper, eggs, and 3/4 cup of the crumbs. Turn into a buttered casserole and sprinkle with the remaining crumbs mixed with the melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until browned. Serves 4-6.
