RICE KRISPIE DESSERT 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
Half gallon vanilla ice cream
Cherry pie filling (optional)

Place butter and brown sugar in saucepan and stir over low heat. Do not boil. Add cereal, coconut, and nuts. Spread 2/3 of mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan. Put softened ice cream over top. Place remaining crumb mixture on top. Freeze. When ready to serve, top with cherry pie filling.
