GERMAN BAKED PANCAKES | |
3 eggs 1/2 c. sifted flour 2 tbsp. melted butter 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk Lightly beat eggs with a whisk. Add salt to flour. Add flour mixture and milk to eggs in 3 portions alternately, beating well after each addition. Add melted butter and beat well. Pour into 2 well buttered pie pans (if using aluminum double up). Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until puffed and light brown. Serve immediately with lemon wedges, melted butter and powdered sugar. They taste great with any fruit mixtures or just good old syrup. (Serves 2.) This recipe originally came from the Painted Pony Bed and Breakfast in Traverse City. |
