TRIPLE GOOD BARS | |
2 c. raisins 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 c. butter 1 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. quick oatmeal 1 c. flour 1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt; optional In medium saucepan, combine the first 4 ingredients. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly, just until mixture begins to bubble. Remove from heat; cool slightly and set aside. Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and blend until evenly mixed and crumbly. Reserve 2 cups. Press remaining mixture in bottom of a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Spread raisin mixture to within 1/2 inch of edge. Sprinkle with remaining oat mixture and pat lightly. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into 1 x 2 inch bars. |
