CARAMEL APPLE PUDDING | |
This is a rich dessert, but wonderful tasting! 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped apples 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 375°F. In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, milk, apples and nuts. Blend thoroughly. Spread in greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish (or 8-inch square pan greased on bottom only). Prepare sauce. SAUCE: 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter 3/4 cup boiling water Add ingredients to saucepan and stir until butter is melted. Pour sauce over batter. Bake at 375°F for 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or cold with ice cream of whipped cream. Serves 6. Submitted by: Grace Williams |
