1/4 c. minced onion
2 tbsp. ground cumin
1 tbsp. crushed hot red pepper flakes
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. crushed oregano
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. instant minced garlic

Combine and mix all ingredients. Divide into 6 portions. Wrap in foil.

To use: Brown 1 pound ground meat, drain excess fat. Sprinkle 1 package taco seasoning mix over meat and stir to blend. Add 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon catsup. Simmer and stir, uncovered for 10 minutes. Spoon into taco shells and put tomato and lettuce on top.
