PRETZELS 
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 cake yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 egg
Coarse salt

Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Next add sugar and salt. Blend in flour, knead dough until smooth. Cut into small pieces. Roll into ropes and twist into shape. Place on lightly oiled cookie sheets. brush the pretzels with a beaten egg. Finally, sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
