CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD | |
6-7 c. flour 3 tbsp. sugar 2 pkgs. yeast 1 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. shortening 2 1/4 c. water (warm) 1 c. raisins Sprinkle of cinnamon Mix 3 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt, shortening, raisins and yeast in a bowl. Add warm water. Beat on low for 1 minute. Scrape sides; beat on medium 1 minute. Stir in enough flour to make dough easy to handle. Knead 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon (add a little water so it will stick). Cover and let rise for 40-60 minutes. Punch down and roll dough into thirds. Put into loaf pans. Let rise 35-50 minutes. Bake 25-30 minutes at 425 degrees. |
