CORN CHOWDER 
1 sm. onion, diced
1/2 c. diced celery
1 1/2 c. cubed, peeled potatoes
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 c. milk
2 c. fresh corn kernels or a 1 lb. can creamed corn
Chopped parsley or paprika for garnish

Saute onion and celery; cook until tender but not brown. Add potatoes, water, salt, sugar and pepper. Cover and simmer until potato cubes are tender. Add milk and corn; bring to a boil. Serve in warm bowl and sprinkle with parsley, if desired. Serves 4-6.
