STUFFED HAMBURGER ROLL 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 1/2 c. 1/4 inch bread cubes, toasted (4 slices)
1 egg
1/4 tsp. dried crushed sage leaves
4 oz. sharp process American cheese, shredded

Combine onion and 1/3 cup of water; simmer covered for 5 minutes. Add bread cubes and toss. Combine beef, egg, sage, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper. On wax paper, pat meat into 14x8-inch rectangle. Spread bread mixture over meat and sprinkle 3/4 cup cheese over bread mixture.

Start at narrow end and roll meat into a jelly roll fashion. Place seam side down in a loaf pan. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake until melted. Serves 6.
