LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground meat
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce and 1 can water
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste and 2 1/2 cans water
9 lasagna noodles
12 slices American cheese
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese

Brown meat and onion, drain fat. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste and water. Season to taste with oregano, garlic, bay leaf and salt and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. Ease lasagna noodles into boiling water, cook 15 minutes, drain and rinse with cold water, then drain again. Layer ingredients in 9 x 13 inch pan, 3 noodles, meat sauce, 4 slices of American cheese broken in half and placed diagonally, then mozzarella cheese either 3 slices per noodle or sprinkle if shredded. Repeat process until all ingredients are used. Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Remove and let stand 15 minutes before serving.
