BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
4 c. Kellogg's All Bran
2 c. boiling water
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease muffin cups. In large pan, mix bran and water. Let soak until melted and soft. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and buttermilk. Add to bran, then add flour and baking soda. Bake for 20 minutes. Makes 4-5 dozen muffins, and keeps well in the refrigerator.
