BAKED MACARONI AND CHEESE 
1 lb. macaroni
3 qts. water
1 tsp. salt
1 qt. milk
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
2 c. shredded cheese
Bread crumbs
Oleo

Cook macaroni in salted water until tender (about 12 minutes). Drain and rinse. Make white sauce, using 1 quart milk, 1 tablespoon flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 stick butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add grated cheese; mix well. Put macaroni in 2 casseroles. Cover with cheese sauce; mix well. Cover with bread crumbs and slices of butter. Bake 30 minutes.
