GUMDROP COOKIES 
(This makes two roasting pans of gumdrop bars. You might want to cut recipe in half.)

Cut up 2 cups gumdrops. Small pieces make it easier to cut into bars without tearing up cookies. Use flour to keep from sticking to each other and to kitchen shears. Set gumdrops aside to add later. Beat 8 eggs. Add: 2 tbsp. water 4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon

Add: 1 c. nuts, chopped

Spread thinly in greased and floured roasting pans. Bake medium oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

ICING:

Have this ready and spread on cookies immediately after removing from oven. Mix: 1 box powdered sugar Grated orange rind Orange juice

Add enough orange juice to make icing fairly easy to spread. It will spread easier on the hot cookies.
