CHOCOLATE WALNUT NUGGETS 
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon hot water
2 1/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
14 oz (approx) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar until creamy; add beaten eggs. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to the sugar mixture alternately with the flour, sifted with the salt.

Add walnuts, chocolate and vanilla. Drop by half-teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.
