GROUND BEEF SHEPHERDS PIE 
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. dried basil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. green beans, drained
1 c. tomatoes, diced
2 potatoes, cooked and mashed
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat; add onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Add ground beef and basil and sauté 5 more minutes. Add garlic, green beans and tomatoes; stir well. Simmer 5 minutes. Pour mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish. In separate bowl, combine potatoes with egg and water. Mix well and spread over meat mixture.

Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes start to brown on top. Sprinkle with cheese 5 minutes before done.
