REALLY SOUTHERN CORN BREAD | |
Beat together an egg and teaspoon salt. Then add 1 cup milk, 2 heaping teaspoons baking powder, 1/3 cup flour and 1 1/4 cup cornmeal in a middle size skillet. Melt 2 tablespoons shortening, pour most of it in batter. Put batter in skillet and bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. |
