BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 sq. chocolate (melt & cool)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. cool water
2 c. flour

Combine sour cream and baking soda.

Mix sugar and eggs in large mixing bowl. Add cooled chocolate, vanilla and salt. Add sour cream with soda (beat after adding each ingredient). Add 2 cups flour and last the water. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes. Do not over bake.

FUDGE FROSTING:

2 c. sugar
2 sq. chocolate
1/4 c. Karo syrup
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring to soft boil. Cool slightly and beat until spreading consistency.
