BEST MEAT LOAF (EXTRA DELICIOUS
AND CRUNCHY)
 
3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
3/4 tsp. sage
Chili sauce
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Soak crumbs in milk; add remaining ingredients, except chili sauce. Mix well. Pack into 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan to shape; invert on shallow baking pan. Score loaf diagonally with handle of wooden spoon. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Fill scored marks on top with chili sauce. Bake 15 minutes longer. Makes 6-8 servings.
