CHOCOLATE CAKE SQUARES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. self rising flour
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten

Mix in a large bowl the sugar and flour. Bring to boil the butter and Crisco, cocoa and hot water. Pour over sugar and flour mixture. Mix buttermilk, soda, cinnamon, vanilla and eggs. Add to mixture and pour into oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1/4 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. nuts
3/4 box confectioners' sugar

Mix well and pour over cake while still warm.
