CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE OR MARBLE
SQUARES

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 1/3 c. sugar, divided
3 eggs, divided
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 sq. unsweetened baking chocolate
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips

Beat cream cheese until soft. Gradually beat in 1/3 cup of sugar. Beat in one egg, set aside. In saucepan bring butter, water and chocolate to boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour and remaining 2 cups sugar. Beat in remaining 2 eggs, one at a time. Stir in sour cream, baking soda and salt.

Turn batter into 10 x 14 x 1 inch greased and floured baking pan. Pour cream cheese mixture over chocolate mixture and cut into chocolate gently with spatula to create marbling. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until batter springs back when gently touched. Makes about 2 dozen squares.
