SOUTH OF THE BORDER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
12 tortillas, cut in halves
8 oz. sharp cheese, shredded

Brown meat. Add onion, cook until tender. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings. Alternate layers of meat mixture, tortillas and cheese in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
