GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
3 (6 oz.) pkgs. frozen green beans, French cut
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
1/2 c. butter
4 green onions or 1 med. onion, chopped
2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
1/2 c. flour
2 c. milk
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. slivered almonds

Cook frozen beans according to package directions. Drain. Chop water chestnuts and add to beans. Saute onions and mushrooms in butter. Stir in flour, milk and cheese. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Stir in soy sauce, Tabasco sauce and salt. Pour sauce over beans and mix gently. Turn into a 2 quart buttered casserole. Sprinkle almonds over top. Bake for 20 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Serves 8 to 10.
