GOLDWATER BEANS 
1 lb. pinto beans
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. black pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 clove garlic OR 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 - 2 green chili peppers
1 lb. ground beef
14 oz. taco sauce (hot or mild)
bacon fat

Soak beans over night. Cook until tender - about 2 hours. Brown meat in back fat. Add meat to beans; add all other ingredients and cook until flavors blend. Serve with cornbread pancakes.
