HALF MOON COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk (add 1 tsp. vinegar to sweet milk)
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine shortening and sugar, beating well until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add sour milk alternately with flour, soda, powder and salt. Add vanilla.

Drop heaping teaspoons of mixture onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Only 6 to a sheet allowing room to spread. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until brown around edges. 2 1/2 dozen large cookies.

Frost 1/2 flat size with vanilla frosting the other with chocolate frosting.
