HALF MOON COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. When cool, frost flat (bottom) side of cookie; one half with vanilla frosting, the other half with chocolate. (Can be dropped by tablespoon also.)
