MOON BEAM COOKIES 
6 tbsp. butter
Pinch of salt
2 1/2 tbsp. confectioners' sugar
1 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla mixed with 1/2 tsp. ice water
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar (for later)

Cream butter, sugar, salt. Add flour and vanilla. Mix in nuts. Shape into balls (walnut size) and flatten to 1/2 inch thick. Bake 30 minutes at 300 degrees or until lightly brown. Yields: 20. Hot from the oven shake in bag with remaining 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar.
