PECAN SANDIES 
2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and salt. Add flour and pecans. Mix well. Shape pieces of dough into balls then into crescents. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

Frosting: Melt 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup butter in the top of a double boiler. Dip ends of cookies in chocolate mixture.
