PECAN SANDIES DELIGHT 
1 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. pecans, chopped fine

Cream butter and sugar together; add 2 teaspoons water and 2 teaspoons vanilla; mix well. Blend flour and pecans. Chill mixture for 3 hours. Shape mixture into fingers or balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool and roll cookies in confectioners' sugar. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cookies.
