FUNNEL CAKES 
Oil
1 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg
Confectioners sugar

Put 3/4 inch oil in large fry pan on medium heat. Mix flour, milk, baking powder, salt, and egg with whisk. Hold narrow spouted funnel closed with finger; pour 1/4 cup batter into funnel. In a steady stream, release batter into hot oil. Make funnel cake pattern. About 6 inches in diameter. Fry approximately 6 minutes, turning once with tongs. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with sugar. Makes 6.
