EARTHQUAKE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 cup chopped pecans 1 cup coconut 1 stick butter 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar Spray 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan with cooking spray. Spread nuts and coconut in the pan. Mix cake mix as directed on package and pour over nuts and coconut. Melt butter and cream cheese together. Add powdered sugar. Pour over cake mix or dollop evenly over cake mix. The cake cracks open as it bakes and the cream cheese mixture sinks in; hence earthquake cake. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Cake might look shaky, but will set up. Don't overbake. |
