WALNUT PUMPKIN TORTE 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1/3 c. butter
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Combine flour, brown sugar, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meat, add nuts. Press firmly into 9x13 pan. Bake 12 minutes in 350 degree oven.

FILLING:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 lg. egg
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water

Beat egg into softened cheese, add pumpkin, milk, spice and salt, beat until smooth. Stir in hot water. Pour on the baked crust. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is barely set in center. Cool thoroughly before cutting. Decorate with Cool Whip and walnut halves.
