TAMALE BAKE CASSEROLE 
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tomato, diced
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. diced cheddar or Jack cheese
Cornmeal topping
Sliced black olives; optional

Saute beef and onion together. Stir in chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, tomato and flour. Turn into shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with diced cheese. Cover with cornmeal topping. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer. Garnish top with sliced black olives. Serves 4.

CORNMEAL TOPPING:

1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
1 egg
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. diced cheddar or Jack cheese

Combine milk, chili powder, and butter in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Gradually stir in cornmeal. Cook, stirring vigorously until thickened. Stir in egg, diced cheese and Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.
